Negotiating, structuring and documenting (1) raw and unimproved land acquisitions, sales and exchanges; (2) agreements with public agencies regarding the development, construction and use of residential real estate developments; (3) the creation of real estate development entities including partnerships, limited liability companies and corporations; and (4) lender workouts on distressed residential development assets. We also specialize in representing developers of master planned residential developments in the sale of development sites to merchant builders.

COMMON INTEREST SUBDIVISION PRACTICE

Planning, structuring and preparing documentation for residential and commercial condominium developments, planned developments, stock cooperative projects and other forms of common interest subdivisions, and representing residential and commercial real estate developers in all aspects of subdivisions, compliance with the California Subdivision Map Act and Subdivided Lands Act and the processing of approvals for residential subdivisions with the California Department of Real Estate. A substantial portion of our practice in this area involves representing developers of large master planned residential and commercial subdivisions.
